Now, this was an interesting one. First of all, there was a bit more specificity in the instructions than usual. Someone is trying to speak to me from the other side. Step 1 in today’s task is to describe this person’s appearance in detail. We were given 3 minutes to do this. This is a weakness of mine. I guess I generally don’t pay too much attention to the finer details of how someone looks, and that would make it hard to come up with something. It’s even worse when it comes to women’s clothing. I don’t know how to describe what a woman is wearing. That’s crazy. So I’m going to try to be a little more cognizant of how people look and how they’re dressed.

The remaining 7 minutes were for transcribing a conversation between the person and me. Dialogue comes easier to me because I generally write how I talk. I do wonder how skilled I am at writing how other people talk, though. Every character ever can’t all sound like me. Anyways, I liked bumping up against this wall. This is how you learn what you need to improve on. It was a tad bit frustrating, but I’ll be better as a result.
