WNBA Finals: Golden State Valkyries @ Atlanta Dream at 12:30 pm (ET) on USA Network
If you’ve ever wondered how much pull my words have in the sports world, look no further! Days after complaining about how the WNBA Finals deserve better than a midday start time on Saturdays, yet another scheduling snafu forced the league to move Game 6 to a tipoff normally seen for summer campers. As for the actual game, Atlanta hasn’t hit the 30-point mark until the 3rd quarter in each of the last two games, as the Golden State defense has taken away everything that worked for the Dream in Games 2 and 3. If Angel Reese and company can’t rediscover how to put the ball in the hoop, Valkyries fans will be celebrating a title for their West Coast lunch. Will we get the primetime Game 7 we deserve?

World Series: Tampa Bay Rays @ Milwaukee Brewers at 8:00 pm (ET) on Fox
The Brewers have looked so dominant that I can’t believe I’m including this. When I went to sleep on Tuesday, I was certain I’d wake up to news that they were World Series champs, but Tampa Bay staged an incredible 12th-inning comeback. They are playing Game 5 as I write, and the Rays need to win that one to make this game a thing. My fingers are crossed, but I won’t hold my breath.

College Football: #25 Wisconsin Badgers @ Iowa Hawkeyes at 12:00 pm (ET) on Fox
You thought Iowa was different this year, huh? Just a week after losing to a team that only managed to score 13 points, they are favored against the ranked Badgers because, well, they know how to make a game ugly. It’s just a matter of whose game is uglier. I’d like to guarantee that the first team to 20 wins, but I’m not sure either team gets there. Tune in to find out!
College Football: #6 South Dakota Coyotes @ #5 South Dakota State Jackrabbits at 4:00 pm (ET) on ESPNU
With FBS football looking less and less like the sport we grew up on, perhaps we should give the FCS version a try with a top-10 rivalry matchup. The Jackrabbits, as the name suggests, feature the best run game in all of FCS. I’m not sure the Coyotes can slow that down, although I feel like coyotes do chase jackrabbits, but they will try to counter with the arm of Austyn Modrzewski, who is tied for the most TD passes in the country with 24. He’s just a freshman! This will almost certainly look completely different from the Wisconsin-Iowa game, so we’re covering all of our football bases here.
World Series: Tampa Bay Rays @ Milwaukee Brewers at 8:00 pm (ET) on Fox
Okay, look, we deserve this because…
WNBA Finals: Atlanta Dream @ Golden State Valkyries at 8:00 pm (ET) on USA Network
…it will give us simultaneous Game 7s to watch after trick-or-treating hours during an evening slate of college football games that I would describe as “meh.”

Men’s College Basketball: Notre Dame Fighting Irish vs. Villanova Wildcats at 9:30 am (ET) on Fox
Don’t let the WNBA find out about this timeslot! Not sure what’s more shocking: that it’s already November or that it’s already college basketball season. Either way, here we are. They’re playing this one in Italy, which makes it a homecoming for Villanova freshman Luigi Suigo. At 7’3”, it would take just over 69 Luigis to equal the world’s longest spaghetti noodle that I could find. I like pasta as much as anybody, but that’s insane. Grab yourself a nice cappuccino and tap in!
Women’s College Basketball: #13 Notre Dame Fighting Irish vs. Villanova Wildcats at 12:00 pm (ET) on Fox
An Italian doubleheader! Hannah Hidalgo kicks off her senior season! It feels like we were just watching her debut against the Gamecocks in France. She’s 167 steals behind former Lamar star Chastadie Barrs for most in women’s college hoops history. Based on Hidalgo’s career average of 4.7 steals per game, it’ll take her 36 games to surpass that mark. The Fighting Irish have 30 regular season games scheduled, so they need a postseason run. Hannah led them on a surprise Elite Eight run last year. Does she have one more in her? The road starts here!
NFL: Kansas City Chiefs @ Denver Broncos at 4:25 pm (ET) on CBS
A little AFC West rivalry game! The Chiefs are coming off of their first loss of the season as Kenneth Walker III and the rest of the offense got stuck in the mud in his return to Seattle. Meanwhile, the Broncos offense looked much better as they hit the 30-point mark for just the second time all season in their win against the Cardinals. Do they have enough juice left over to avenge their season-opening loss to Kansas City? Or will the Chiefs regroup and prove that they’re still the team to chase in the division?
Men’s College Basketball: Liberty Flames vs. High Point Panthers at 11:59 pm (ET) on YouTube
Look, if you don’t have kids, you have to stay up and watch this. I love my son more than anything, but my days of watching hilariously late tipoffs are long gone, because I know he’s going to be waiting to beat my ass in the morning if I do. Do it for me. Please.

Women’s College Basketball: #1 South Carolina Gamecocks vs. #20 Maryland Terrapins at 12:00 pm (ET) on ESPN
Speaking of the Gamecocks in France. Dawn Staley and crew return to the land of baguettes to take on Brenda Frese’s Terps! In a college sports landscape that is actively working against consistency, South Carolina is looking for its 7th straight trip to the Final Four. Their uncharacteristic lack of depth was their downfall in the national title game, so, naturally, Dawn reloaded with ESPN’s 2nd-best recruiting class of 2026. However, the most help might come in the form of familiar faces Ashlyn Watkins and Chloe Kitts, who return after missing all of last season with knee injuries. Frese always has Maryland ready to compete, so this will be a great test right out of the gate. Tap in!
Women’s College Basketball: #21 Oklahoma Sooners @ #12 North Carolina Tar Heels at 2:30 pm (ET) on ESPN2
A French doubleheader! Speaking of the Terps, they beat UNC in an exhibition, but the story of the game was Tar Heel freshman Kate Harpring, who did a lotta bit of everything on her way to 29 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists, and 3 steals. The daughter of former Georgia Tech star/longtime Utah Jazz player/subject of a Nappy Roots lyric Matt Harpring, Kate could provide an explosive perimeter scoring threat that has been sorely lacking during Courtney Banghart’s tenure.
Speaking of explosive perimeter scoring, Sooners G Aaliyah Chavez showed flashes of just that in her freshman season as she helped Oklahoma get back to the Sweet Sixteen. She certainly seems to enjoy playing in coach Jennie Baranczyk’s fast-paced system, but has she improved her decision-making in the half-court? We’ll get some answers in this one as Courtney Banghart’s teams love to take the air out of the ball.
Men’s College Basketball: #14 Miami Hurricanes vs. #1 Florida Gators at 6:00 pm (ET) on ESPN2
In what is a great example of the wackiness of college sports these days, the top-ranked Gators feature 5th-year senior Denzel Aberdeen, who started his career here, left to play at Kentucky for a season, then returned to Gainesville. Back in my day, coaches would die before they let you transfer within the conference, much less bounce back and forth between two teams. But here we are. While I’m complaining, this is your reminder that the tournament has expanded to 76 teams. Let’s try to enjoy it anyways!
Men’s College Basketball: #5 Arizona Wildcats vs. #22 UCLA Bruins at 10:00 pm (ET) on TNT
Another year of college hoops means another year of rooting against notorious dickhead Mick Cronin. His usual game plan of “pitch a fit” might need a bit of an adjustment to slow down Wildcat sophomore Ivan Kharchenkov, who has been lighting it up in exhibitions. Arizona also features Caleb Holt and Motiejus Krivas, who are each projected to be top-10 picks in next year’s NBA Draft. May they use Mick Cronin’s team to push their draft stock even higher!

College Football: Buffalo Bulls @ Miami (OH) RedHawks at 8:00 pm (ET) on ESPN
Well, it’s definitely November if we’re getting some Tuesday MAC-tion! It’s a logjam at the top of the conference standings, and these two are right in the thick of it. What more could you ask for after a nice long day of voting blue?

NBA: Philadelphia 76ers @ Detroit Pistons at 7:00 pm (ET) on ESPN
In case you forgot how old LeBron is, his youngest son, Bryce, is on the Arizona team mentioned above. I know a lot of sports history, and I can’t think of another athlete who was a contemporary with not one, but two of their children. However, I do hoop it up with my two sons.

They won this day.
