Set your alarm clocks! Team USA survived a scare against Italy and went undefeated during Group Play. They take on a Hungary team led by Dorka Juhász of the Minnesota Lynx. The Hungarians won three straight after a tournament-opening loss to France. Now, it’s lose and go home. So, yeah, don’t do that!

The first-ever NFL regular-season game in Australia AND a showdown between both of Daejon Love’s teams! Love was arrested for fraud after allegedly scamming 26 women out of $1.3 million while posing as an NFL player. For many of Love’s incredibly long-winded videos, he claimed to be on the 49ers. He carried a 49ers helmet with him seemingly everywhere he went to make his story more believable to people who, for whatever reason, think NFL players do that. At the end of the documented scheme, Love had transitioned to wearing Rams team gear and saying he had signed with them. I have not done this story justice because no human can, so go find all of the videos and watch them yourself, but what are the odds these two teams would play each other Week 1?

You may remember Mizzou’s Austin Simmons as Ole Miss’ starting QB at the beginning of last season before he got Wally Pipp’d by Trinidad Chambliss. His Tigers’ career got off to a hot start against an overmatched Arkansas-Pine Bluff team, as he threw for twice as many TDs (4) as incompletions (2). How close can he come to replicating that performance against a significantly tougher team in Kansas? Did I mention it’s a rivalry game too? Tap in!

Hull City’s return to the Premier League has gotten off to a fast start! They have yet to allow a goal in three matches. Can they keep that up against a Chelsea squad full of firepower in the form of Morgan Rogers, João Pedro, and Cole Palmer?

The Wolverines avoided an embarrassing home loss in Kyle Whittingham’s coaching debut thanks to a Hail Mary and creative replay officials. Michigan looked so bad that they dropped out of the Top 25 despite winning. Whittingham already sounds like he’s lost confidence in starting QB Bryce Underwood. Not great when you have one of the country’s best defenses coming to town. We’ll find out if that season-opening stinker was first-game jitters or a sign of things to come.

Competitors to be determined, but the top 6 seeds are still alive in the quarterfinals, so odds are there will be enough firepower to justify switching away from college football to watch. The true test will be whether or not the influencers pay attention.

I’m so desperate for early-season big matchups like this that I won’t even talk about how awful of a watch this game was last year. Both programs had a warm-up game in Week 1 where they each looked impressive, and, on paper, we should have at least 3 Heisman contenders on the field. What more could you want?

Most of us should get this one for our first NFL Sunday game of the regular season. During my NFL season prep, no unit has gotten as much praise across the board as the Texans’ defense. They face a huge test right off the bat as they have to figure out how to slow down a Bills offense led by Josh Allen. Can you believe it’s back???

I am legitimately concerned that France is going to beat our American asses. Their closest margin of victory so far was 26 points against South Korea. They probably should have beaten us in the 2024 Olympic Final. We are without the best player in the world, A’ja Wilson, but my American arrogance makes me feel like that’s still not an excuse. And, Lord Jesus, the discourse that’s going to take place if we do lose. Brace yourself. So, the stakes are high! That makes for great viewing!

Does anybody communicate when they make these start times? Make sure your remote’s batteries are fresh, I guess. Good news! We are guaranteed an American in the final. Ben Shelton and Frances Tiafoe each advanced to the semis in two of the most electric matches you will ever see. If this match is a quarter as exciting as either of those matches were, it’ll be well worth the watch!

I was about to make a joke about the Giants, but this season should actually be interesting for them. John Harbaugh is their new head coach, so expectations are high. I mean, the man won a Super Bowl with Joe Flacco. Not sure about talent, but Jaxson Dart has infinitely more personality than ol’ Joe. A great reminder that more is not always better. The Harbaugh Era begins against NFC East rival Dallas. The first Sunday Night Football of the season!

The Broncos looked like a Super Bowl team last year before QB Bo Nix broke his ankle in their Divisional Round win against the Bills. The Chiefs have often been a Super Bowl team, but they’re flying under the radar heading into this season after a disappointing 2025 campaign that also saw Patrick Mahomes tear his ACL. Both QBs are back and healthy, so this should be a good one!

Two of the best in the NL face off as the regular season winds down! I won’t talk about Pete Crow-Armstrong’s MVP chase anymore because I hate him. His Cubs are battling it out with the Phillies for the top Wild Card spot. Meanwhile, the Braves are trying to hold off those very same Phillies for the NL East crown. Tap in!

I cannot remember the last time a White Sox game was on national TV. This will be a good one, because these two are fighting it out for the AL Central. The loser could very well miss the postseason altogether because neither of their records is fantastic in terms of the Wild Card race. A must-win for lunch on a Wednesday!
